Prayer Requests

As Adorers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
prayer is the chief duty of our monastic family.

This includes the adoration of the heart of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Every day and for part of three nights, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the altar.
Six candles burn before our Eucharistic Lord.
One is for the Pope and the Church,
another for New Zealand and it's leaders.

The other four can burn for the intentions of those who request them.

When a candle intention is given us, their name is written on a candle list
for the day or days that are requested.

They are prayed for by the Sisters at adoration
and also read out during the Vespers prayers.

(As a general guide, though a donation is not required - $10 will provide for 3 days of candles, $20 for one week, $100 for one month.)
